What is your refund policy at Anaconda?

Refund Policy

Our refund policy has been designed to protect our customers and conforms to all State and Federal fair trading laws. Please read our refund policy carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights and our obligations to you.

Products purchased at Anaconda can be returned to any Anaconda store, regardless of which Anaconda store it was originally purchased from.

Anaconda will accept product returns where:

• The product is faulty through no fault of your own

• The product is not fit for the purpose which goods of that kind are commonly bought

• The product is not fit for a stated purpose or a purpose you made known to our sales staff

• The product does not match the sample or description

With proof of purchase (receipt, credit statement or invoice):

• We will offer you an exchange voucher or refund

• Refunds will be issued in the same form of tender as the original purchase transaction

Without proof of purchase (receipt, credit statement or invoice):

• Anaconda reserves the right not to offer an exchange or refund

Anaconda reserves the right to:

• Assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund. This may result in a repair, exchange or refund being refused; and/or

• Refer the item to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not you are entitled to an exchange, refund or repair; and/or

• Refuse exchanges and refunds if the product is not returned with all accessories and instruction manuals (these may be necessary to properly assess your claim).

Anaconda is not obligated to accept product returns where:

• you have changed your mind

• If we decide, at our discretion to accept change-of-mind product returns we will:

- only offer an exchange or gift voucher (no refunds);

- the return products must be in saleable condition (original packaging, labels, instruction manuals included);

- only accept a product return for products currently on range at Anaconda;

- only accept a product return within 28 days of purchase; and

- only accept a product return with proof of purchase. Identification required for refunds, returns and exchanges:

• You will be asked for information that is relevant to your transaction

• When returning products with satisfactory proof of purchase, you will be asked for your signature as authorization of the return transaction

• Without satisfactory proof of purchase, you will be asked to provide photo identification containing your full name, signature and expiration date, so that your name and signature can be verified.

• Please note, when returning products totalling $1,000 or more, you will be asked for your signature as authorization of the return transaction. Anaconda is also required to record your name, address and ABN (if you are registered for GST) in order to comply with GST legislation relating to Tax Adjustment Notes. This information may also be accessed by authorised Anaconda personnel for fraud investigations and fraud protection activities.

• Information collected on returns slips will be securely stored for a reasonable period of time and may be used for the purposes of research and analysis and may be disclosed to government departments upon request or as otherwise required by law.

• You may be asked for this information for the purposes listed above but it will not affect your rights under fair trading legislation.

How does your LPG (Lowes Price Guarantee) work?

“If you show us” - we will accept a signed quote, receipt, invoice, advertising or any other official document from a competitor to show their price is cheaper.

“cheaper price” - the item must be cheaper, not the same price. “same” - the item must be the same in all ways (including freight charges).

“stocked item” - We must have the item in stock and available for sale (ie. no backorders) and our competitor must have it in stock and available for sale at the time of quoting.

Is there any product recalls I need to be aware of?

Yes,

Anaconda is concerned about the safety of the COMOCEAN SPITFIRE KAYAK that it has sold between 6 January 2009 and 19 January 2009 and is conducting a voluntary recall in the best interest of our customers.

Supplier: Anaconda Group Pty Ltd

The product: Comocean Spitfire Kayak (in blue, red or yellow)

Possible defect: May have a hole in the scupper drain or leak through the rivets near the bung which may cause the kayak to sink.

Consumer action: Return the kayak to your nearest Anaconda store for a full refund or replacement.

How is Anaconda contribting to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal

All proceeds from the ANACONDA Climbing Pinnacle will be donated to The Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009

Anaconda is moved by the tragic events surrounding the recent Victorian Bush Fire Crisis.

We would like to make a contribution to the efforts to rebuild the homes, lives and communities affected by this devastating occurrence.

From 9th February 2009 until 9th April 2009, all proceeds raised through the Climbing Pinnacles in all of our 18 stores will be donated to the Red Cross Appeal.

By using the climbing pinnacle during this time, you are also helping us support this extremely deserving cause. Together we can make a difference.

How do I become a member of the Anaconda Adventure club?

There are three ways that you can join the Anaconda Adventure Club:

  • visit your nearest Anaconda store to complete a short form and you can start using your card on the spot
  • log on to the Anaconda website and click on the Adventure Club link to complete an online form (your membership card will be mailed to you)
  • contact your nearest Anaconda store on 1300 669 137 and sign up over the phone.

How do I apply for a job at Anaconda?

Stop by your nearest Anaconda store and collect a Job Application form. Complete the form and return it to the store. Alternatively you can complete the Job Application form from the Anaconda website.

Anaconda is privately-owned and we do not anticipate franchising the business model

How can I find out about products at Anaconda if I dont live close by?

Due to the number of products stocked at Anaconda we do not have a complete store product listing on our website, instead we have regular catalogue sales and events where we reduce the prices on selected items across all of our departments mountain bikes and accessories, fishing and kayaking, camping accessories, hiking, rock climbing plus technical footwear and apparel. We regularly update the Anaconda website with the latest catalogue, advertisements and special offers, as well as mailing direct to our Adventure Club members. You can also contact your nearest Anaconda store on 1300 669 137 and our team members will be more than happy to assist you with your product queries or to arrange purchases over the phone.
